The conference is being held at the University of Aberdeen, on Regent Walk in Old Aberdeen. We’ll be mostly in buildings 22, 24, 25, and 28 on this campus map. Much of the city centre is a 30-40 minute walk from here.
Accommodation can be provided at the University halls of residence at Hillhead. This is approx. 15mins walk from the Old Aberdeen campus, or the 9U Firstbus can take you there (bus available Mon-Fri only). To book a campus room, please contact our Conference & Events Office.
There is a variety of accommodation available in Aberdeen City Centre, ranging from international and national hotel chains to smaller local residences (e.g. those found at Airbnb). To see more information on accommodation, please look at the ITiCSE 2019 Blog post on City Centre Hotels.
If you decide to stay in Aberdeen city centre, VisitAberdeenshire has provided an event accommodation booking system where you can reserve and pay for some, but not all, of the hotels. If you use this system, the conference organisers can track where delegates are staying and provide better advice when answering queries about transportation to/from venues.
Please click on the image to be taken to the booking site. The accommodation booking site has currently been disabled. Please contact the event organisers if you experience any problems.
Please note that the city centre hotels are about 1.5km to 2km from the Conference Venue in Aberdeen University. There are regular buses (every 15 minutes) that run between the city centre and the university. Journey time is about 10 minutes.
