ITiCSE 2018, the 23rd Annual Conference on Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education, will take place in Larnaca, Cyprus, hosted by University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus. The event is sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE).
The program of the conference will consist of keynote lectures, paper sessions, panels, working groups, tips and techniques, posters, and exhibits. The conference also features opportunities to partake in excursions, enabling attendees to see some of the surrounding district and mingle in a less intense and formal environment.
The conference will begin with registration and an information session for working group leaders and interested members at 6pm on Friday evening 29 June.
The working groups will start their formal sessions at 9am on Saturday 30 June 2018.
The opening reception for the conference will be held at 19:30, on Sunday 1 July 2018, at the Ayia Napa Thalassa Museum . The reception will be sponsored by the Ayia Napa Muncipality.
The main conference starts at 8.30am on Monday 2 July and ends in the afternoon of Wednesday 4 July 2018, with all the sessions held at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan Cyprus) main building. Additional information about the location of the conference can be found under Venue
The conference dinner will be held at 20:00, on Tuesday 3 July 2018, at a local traditional taverna. Be ready to experience the Cypriot cuisine along with traditional live music and dancing.
A daily shuttle will be available from the conference hotels to UCLan Cyprus as well as to the opening reception and to the conference dinner. The conference bus schedue is available at the Accomodation page .
This is the first time that ITiCSE will be hosted in Larnaca, and generally in Cyprus, a country famous for its exceptional hospitality, blue flag beaches, and outstanding Mediterranean cuisine. Situated at the crossroads of three continents – Europe, Asia, and Africa – the island's unique geographic position played an integral part in the development of its long history and rich culture that spans 10,000 years, making it one of the oldest civilizations in the Mediterranean.
ITiCSE 2018 will aim to provide an intellectually stimulating and unique experience at multiple levels!
