Excursion & Banquet
The ITiCSE excursion will be on Tuesday July 1. We will go to the Hoge Veluwe National Park and the Kröller-Müller Museum. Here, you will find the world’s finest Vincent van Gogh collection and enjoy masterpieces by modern masters such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondriaan. The museum is a treasure trove of De Stijl and futurism, and will surprise you with presentations of contemporary artists. Its location in the heart of De Hoge Veluwe Park and the unique combination of art and nature make the Kröller-Müller a place to enjoy and unwind.
For those attending the excursion buses will depart at 12:15 from the university. Please be on time. You will get a lunch bag to go during the bus trip to the museum. For those attending both excursion and banquet, buses will go back to the university. From there you can go back to the hotel first or directly to the city centre.
The ITiCSE banquet will be held at the Stevenskerk (church). The church is the 750-year old icon of Nijmegen. Over centuries, the Stevenskerk and Nijmegen have become intertwined. Not only does the church tell the story of the city, but it has also been its symbol ever since it was reconstructed after WW2. Diner will start at 19:00.
