Call for tips, techniques, and courseware

This page provides detailed information about TT&C submissions to the ITiCSE 2024 conference. It is part of the general Call for Participation which you should read first, if you have not yet done so.

If you have questions that neither this page nor the Call for Participation can answer, please contact the TT&C chairs.

What is a tips, techniques, and courseware session?

A tips, techniques, and courseware (TT&C) session provides an opportunity to share practical ideas, specific assignments, pedagogical tools, methods of assessment, class activities, or software/courseware that supports learning in computing. A brief demonstration may also be included. Presentations are limited to a total length of only 15 minutes including discussion and changeover, so you will need to keep your message short, exact, crisp, and to the point. This is a real challenge, but also contributes largely to the flavour of this session and its attractiveness for attendees.

Each accepted proposal is published in the conference proceedings.

ITiCSE 2024 will be a face-to-face conference. By SIGCSE policy, at least one author is required to register, attend, and present the TT&C in person. See our full policy for more information.

Formatting the TT&C proposal

While most TT&C presentations include some sort of demonstration, they also have a two-page proposal or extended abstract. This proposal is used to review the submission and will be published with the conference proceedings if the submission is accepted. The proposal is limited to two pages and must adhere to ACM’s publication guidelines. For more detail, see Formatting requirements on the Call for Participation page.

To facilitate the transition from proposal to camera-ready copy, it is critical that authors adhere closely to the formatting specifications and the page limit.
