Excursions ITiCSE 2020
During your registration you can select the following tours, please keep in mind that the excursions have a specific capacity. Thus, it’s advisable to book them as early as possible, otherwise, the preferred tour might not be available. All tours are on the afternoon of Thursday, 18th June (start after lunch and end enough time before the conference banquet). In the registration system, you are allowed to book more than one (e.g., in case someone wants to book for an accompanied person), however, all tours leave approximately the same time so please keep in mind that as one can only participate in one of the tours.
Sverresborg: Guided tour of Trøndelag’s Folk Museum (Sverresborg open-air museum)
Trøndelag Folk Museum, often referred to as Sverresborg, is a large cultural history museum at Sverresborg in Trondheim. You will have a walk in the beautiful open-air museum located on a hill west of the city. You will visit a stave church from the middle ages, Lo church from the 1600s, and many beautiful complete farmyards. The museum is placed around the ruins of King Sverre’s castle, which date as far back as 1183. In the museum, you can walk through history and landscapes, and explore buildings from town and country, from mountain to coast and from Sami huts to city mansions.

E C Dahls: Tour of the brewery and beer tasting.
E. C. Dahls Brewery was founded in 1856. In 2016, their master brewer Wolfgang Lindell teamed up with Brooklyn Brewery to create a new range of beer, combining the best of their brewing traditions with Brooklyn’s innovative ideas. With a beer in hand, you get the story of the brewery, a tour, and we have a beer tasting and end up in the pub where you can choose a pint of your choice from the local brews.
