- We are happy to announce that the ITiCSE doctoral consortium (DC) will return in person in July 2022. The DC has been held only once in person during its inaugural year in 2019, although the virtual DC held in 2020 and 2021 were both popular. We look forward to welcoming a new group of doctoral students to our community in Dublin, Ireland!
- After consultation with the ITiCSE community, the ITiCSE Steering Committee has revised the timing for working groups. Following the collaborative remote work phase starting in early April, the intense in-person work phase for the ITiCSE working groups now starts three days before the conference, continues for three days, and ends the day before the main conference programme begins. The goal of the new format is to allow working group members to participate fully in the other conference activities. Our thanks to the task force who developed the new format with community input: Simon, Judy Sheard, Robert McCartney, and Nick Falkner.
- The ITiCSE Steering Committee is currently soliciting applications for conference chairs for the 2025 conference. Applicants for conference chair should have attended ITiCSE on multiple occasions, have sufficient organisational skills to oversee an international informatics education conference, and have a permanent appointment at a European university capable of hosting the conference. More information about nominations can be found under Getting involved.
