ITiCSE conference is sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/sigcse.org\/\">ACM Special Interest Group on Computing Education (SIGCSE)<\/a>, in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/europe.acm.org\/\">ACM Europe Council<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.informatics-europe.org\/\">Informatics Europe<\/a>. The city proper has a population of about 1.4 million, while its metropolitan city has 3.26 million inhabitants. Milan hosts seven universities, the biggest one being the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unimi.it\">Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Milano<\/a> (locally known as &#8220;La Statale&#8221; \u2014 the State one \u2014 even if there are two other public universities in town), with approximately 60,000 students and 2000 tenured faculty members organised in 31 departments. La Statale is going to celebrate its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unimi.it\/en\/university\/la-statale\/our-heritage-our-future\">100th birthday<\/a> in 2024. Milan is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.in-lombardia.it\/en\/general-info-lombardy\/getting-to-lombardy\">easy to reach<\/a> and it is famous for its wealth of historical and modern sights \u2014 the Duomo, one of the biggest and grandest Gothic cathedrals in the world, La Scala, one of the best established opera houses in the globe, the Brera art gallery, with some of the finest artistic works in Europe, the UNESCO&#8217;s World Heritage Site &#8220;Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie&#8221;, containing one of the world&#8217;s most famous paintings: Leonardo da Vinci&#8217;s &#8220;The Last Supper&#8221;.
