Wicklow is known as “The Garden of Ireland” and home of the excursion destination – the Powerscourt Estate (Eastát Chúirt an Phaoraigh) in the picturesque village of Enniskerry (Áth na Sceire). Enniskerry is (most recently) famous as a main film location for Disney’s Disenchanted (2022). At the centre of the estate is Powerscourt House, which was originally a 13th century castle. Today the grounds include world-class formal gardens (voted 3rd best garden in the world by National Geographic) including over 47 acres of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues and ornamental lakes, secret hollows and rambling walk. We will also visit the Powerscourt Waterfall (Eas Chonaill). At 121m (397 ft) it is (depending on who you talk to) the highest waterfall in Ireland. The estate also contains a distillery, gift shops, cafe, golf course, hotel, and more.

The ITiCSE Banquet will be held at Taylor’s Thatched Pub for an evening of bia, deoch agus craic – That’s food, drink and fun – for those of you who haven’t yet brushed up on your Irish.
