Discussions, excursions and just having a chat during a coffee break or the social dinner are just as important, if not even more so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, ITiCSE 2021 has to be an online-only conference. While such a format makes a few things easier and many things cheaper, reaching the same level of scientific exchange and social interaction proves to be quite a challenge. Scientific conferences in 2020 had to be pioneers in this area, and were forced to switch to being online-only in the blink of an eye. A lot of what the organizers of these conferences came up with worked very well already, yet other aspects of a typical conference had to be scaled back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For ITiCSE 2021, we can build on those experiences and have chosen to stick with proven tools.
